Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub
Employees from our Southern Alberta team continue to support the Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub by volunteering at their food drives and brown bag lunch sessions. Their efforts will help the Root Cellar improve food accessibility and security in the community.

Brooks Health Foundation
The Brooks Health Foundation is a non-profit organization that strives to provide high-quality healthcare within the Brooks area. Our donation will help the Foundation with accessing top-grade equipment, facility improvements, and community health initiatives.

Rise Up Hot Air Balloon Festival
Canadian Natural is proud to sponsor the Balloon Glows event at the Rise Up Hot Air Balloon Festival. The festival is organized by Our Collective Journey, a non-profit that supports those dealing with addiction and mental health issues.

School barbeques across Alberta and Saskatchewan
We held barbeques for several schools in the area including Milo School, Eastbrook School, Sunchild First Nation School, Bow Island Elementary School, and Berry Creek School. These were great opportunities to bring the community together while celebrating the students.

Employee volunteering

Our employees continue to host events that bring the community together in a fun way. They helped serve a complimentary lunch to the 500+ people that attended the Junior Rodeo Event held by the Piikani Nations Land Group.

Prairie Gleaners Society, Town of Maple Creek pool, Taber Food Bank Society, Marquis Foundation, Medicine Hat Health Foundation, Bassano and District Health Foundation, HALO Air Ambulance, local food banks, fire departments, and sports clubs.

Supporting Indigenous communities

We continued our annual support for the Lead by Example Powwow and received a plaque in recognition of our longstanding support. This event featured songs, dances, and cultural celebrations to promote reconciliation.

Our local teams follow active safety improvement plans focused on meeting our ultimate goal of “No harm to people; No safety incidents.” We have reduced total corporate recordable injury frequency by 50% since 2019.
