Investing in Communities

Grovedale Day of Giving
Thirty-four Canadian Natural employees volunteered at the Day of Giving at the Grovedale Community and Agricultural Society. Our team helped spruce up their grounds and facilities by painting, installing flooring, and cleaning up overgrown trees.

Sturgeon Lake Resources
Working with band-owned business Sturgeon Lake Resources, we set up a wildlife sweep program to find ways to increase wildlife diversity awareness. We continue to perform wildlife sweeps with many First Nations to ensure the work being done incorporates traditional knowledge.

Duncan’s First Nation
Through our donation to Duncan’s First Nation, they were able to purchase a 15-passenger bus. Community members use the bus for various needs, from commuting to appointments to attending community events.

Wembley Community Society
Our Grande Prairie office donated to the Wembley Community Society for a new playground structure at the Wembley Elementary School. This will provide children and youth within the community a fun and safe place to hang out.

Local Community Highlights

Employee volunteering

Thanks to the fundraising efforts from our Edson and Hinton teams, we donated to local charities such as the Edson Food Bank, MS Society of Canada, and the Hinton Food Bank.

100+ community organizations supported

Hythe & District Recreational Society, Grande Prairie Youth Emergency Center, Fairview Ski Club, Daycare Society of Edson, Peace River Aboriginal Interagency, and community schools.

Supporting education

“Receiving this award has positively aided me so that I am able to focus solely on my class work without the financial burden of college tuition weighing me down.”

Kellie Flett,
Wembley, AB;
2023 Canadian Natural Building Futures Scholarship Recipient

Supporting health and wellness

We were proud to support the Grande Cache Minor Ball Association, a community-based organization dedicated to providing youth with opportunities to learn and play baseball. Our donation will help their programs uplift the overall well-being and health of children in the community.
