Investing in Communities

Bonnyville Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-off
Our Bonnyville employees were thrilled to participate in the annual Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-off, which brought the community together to enjoy some tasty recipes. This year, our team brought home the ‘People’s Choice’ award.

Portage College Project of the Heart
In collaboration with Portage College, we sponsored the Project of Heart initiative. This project was designed by the 2022-2023 Aboriginal Arts students and fosters reconciliation by educating participants on Indigenous history.

Fishing Lake Métis Settlement
We donated to the Fishing Lake Métis Settlement to support their critical illness fund for health and school lunch programs. These programs help improve the well-being of community members, especially those that are critically ill.

Bonnyville and Lloydminster anti-bullying programs
We supported the youth anti-bullying programs from the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs and the Lloydminster Jr. A Bobcats. This included the puck-drop for their AntiBullying Night, an annual hockey game where the junior hockey league team stands for bullying prevention.
Local Community Highlights
Employee volunteering
Our Bonnyville Donation Committee continues to support local charities through fundraising that is matched by the company. Thanks to their efforts, we donated to Compassion House Foundation, St. Paul Firefighters Association, AG Ross Arena, and Dragonfly Counselling & Support Centre.
100+ community organizations supported
Clayton Bellamy Foundation for the Performing Arts, Lloydminster Regional Health Foundation, Lloydminster Sports Centre, Maidstone Healthcare Auxiliary, St. Paul Boys and Girls Club, local food banks and sports clubs.
Supporting education
“Thank you for your generosity in funding this award. With your help, I am one step closer to becoming a pharmacist, as this award relieved some of the financial burden of school. Once I am a pharmacist, I also hope to give back to my community as you have.”
Katelynn Malo,
St. Paul des Métis, AB;
2023 Canadian Natural Building Futures Scholarship Recipient
Supporting health and wellness
We continue to support the health of the Derwent community by donating to The Derwent Golden Age Centre. Our donation covered the full cost of a portable defibrillator unit, which can help save lives in emergency situations.
