Canadian Natural only provides contractors with training specific to the Horizon site. Contractors are responsible to ensure their workers arrive at site with all other safety training qualifications that are not specific to the site. The specific training courses that Canadian Natural is responsible for and those that contractors are responsible for are identified in contract agreements.
Canadian Natural offers many computer-based training courses to contractors. Contractors can access this training through the online Contractor Training Portal.

This equipment is offered in an “as is, where is” condition and Canadian Natural offers no warranties or guarantees. Canadian Natural reserves the right of refusal on any and all offers. Any and all sales are subject to, prior sale, with partner and management approval. Payment must be received by Canadian Natural prior to removal of the equipment.
Oversized Loads
Canadian Natural is one of the largest independent crude oil and natural gas producers in the world. Our balanced mix of natural gas, light oil, heavy oil, in-situ oil sands production, oil sands mining and associated upgrading facilities, represents one of the strongest and most diverse asset portfolios of any energy producer in the world.
Our ongoing development and maintenance of Canadian Natural facilities requires the transport of oversized loads on the public highway system from time to time.
Working together with Alberta Transportation, our knowledgeable team of experts and professional transport contractors, our goal is to transport oversize loads in the safest manner possible and to minimize the impact of these loads on the public who share the highways. This webpage has been developed to keep our shareholders and the general public informed of oversized loads scheduled to travel on the public roadways and access roads to our sites.

- Be patient and plan your route & schedule in advance to minimize delays
- Be aware of escort vehicles, follow instructions when encountering them and exercise caution if passing when safe to do so
- Be aware that radio communication is essential between escort vehicles and oversize loads
- Check local newspapers and radio stations for announcements and advisories
